We picked up our car at Terminal 5 Heathrow at Sofitel Hotel. Your employee was Corrine and from the start she was totally professional welcoming, smiling, courteous and incredibly helpful
We'd had a very stressful journey because of the purpose of our trip to see my brother who is terminally ill and the COVID restrictions and requirements for travelling.
The problem started when the name of the booked main driver had to match the name on the credit card.
To our knowledge we don't remember this from previous rental bookings so we hadn't realised this now applies.
We had to use my husband's credit card instead with the same account etc...not realising that his PIN number would be different from my own card pin having never used his card before.
The credit card company blocked the card. We were at this this stage totally flumoxed and even more stressed than ever.
Corinne offered us the use of the SIXT desk phone to call the credit card company.
They were unable to unblock the card telling us we needed a new pin number which could be sent in the post. Of course that wouldn't work for us at that time.
Corrine offered a working solution to switch the main driver to myself and the card then worked. At all times Corinne was, as said above, professional, courteous a nd helpful in a potentially very difficult situation for us. She was a star!
Feedback number 2
We took the offered upgrade of a Hybrid car.
The car was a Volvo V60 Hybrid. We have a Toyota Hybrid so expected the Volvo to be as economical especially as were planning to drive many miles during our stay. Unfortunately the Volvo was very poor on petrol economy despite it being a Hybrid.
This feedback in no way detracts from Corrinne.
This a separate feedback purely on the car.
The car was in all other ways comfortable and easy to drive.
